Why Families Choose The Bloom Room
Finding the right therapist for your teenager isn't easy. You want someone your kid will actually open up to — not just sit in silence with for 50 minutes. Here's what makes our approach different.
We know how to earn a teen's trust. Teenagers don't open up just because you put them in a room with a therapist. Our clinicians are warm, real, and genuinely easy to talk to — the kind of adults teens actually feel comfortable being honest with.
We keep parents in the loop without breaking trust. One of the most common concerns we hear from parents is not knowing what's happening in sessions. We work collaboratively with families to make sure you feel informed and supported, while still giving your teen the private space they need to do the work.
We only bring on therapists we'd trust with our own families. Every clinician at The Bloom Room has been carefully chosen by Celynna — and many of them are parents themselves. That combination of professional training and lived experience as a parent makes a real difference in how they show up for your teen and for you.
Our space was designed to feel safe, not clinical. No fluorescent lights or sterile waiting rooms. Our San Clemente office is warm, private, and intentionally designed to help your teen feel at ease from the moment they walk in.
We're here for you too. Parenting a struggling teenager is hard. We want you to feel supported throughout this process — not just your teen.
Questions about Insurance?
Using out of network benefits to help cover the cost of therapy can be complicated, frustrating and honestly quite discouraging-but it doesn’t have to be. To make the process seamless, we use Mentaya, a platform that helps clients get money back on therapy—without the hassle of filing claims themselves.
How does it work?
-
Sign up for Mentaya and we will confirm your out of network benefits for you- just fill out this form.
-
Schedule your complimentary consultation with your preferred therapist. During the consultation call we will go over your benefits and an estimated cost of your reimbursement for our services.
Not sure who your preferred therapist is? No problem! Fill out the contact form here and let us know a little bit about you and what you are looking for. From there, we’ll guide you in finding the therapist who’s the best fit for your needs.
-
After your session,
✔ We submit claims for you—you don’t have to do a thing.
✔ Mentaya handles the reimbursement process with your insurance.
✔ If your insurance offers out-of-network benefits, you’ll receive reimbursement directly.(Note: Mentaya charges a small fee for claim processing, handling any paperwork required, dealing with denials, and calling insurance companies, but only if you receive reimbursement.) It's risk-free: They guarantee claims are successfully submitted, or a full refund of their fees.

Teen Therapy in San Clemente FAQ
-
Yes. We offer in-person therapy for teens at our San Clemente office located at 324 Avenida de la Estrella, Unit B, San Clemente, CA 92672.
-
Yes. Virtual therapy is available for teens throughout California. Some teens prefer it — it feels more comfortable than coming into an office, and it fits more easily into busy school schedules.
-
We are an out-of-network practice and do not bill insurance directly. However, we partner with Mentaya to help clients access their out-of-network benefits easily — no paperwork, no phone calls with insurance companies. Many clients receive significant reimbursement.
-
Yes. We have EMDR-trained therapists on our team who work with trauma, anxiety, and distressing experiences that feel stuck. EMDR is available for in-person sessions in San Clemente and virtually throughout California.
-
If your teen is withdrawing, struggling at school, having intense emotional reactions, dealing with anxiety or depression, or you just have a gut feeling something is off — those are all good reasons to reach out. You don't need to wait for a crisis. Early support is almost always easier than waiting until things escalate.
-
We heat this a lot. A few things that help — frame it as something you're doing for them, not something being done to them. Let them have some input in choosing their therapist. And remind them the first session is just a conversation — no commitment required. Many teens who were reluctant at first become genuinely invested once they find the right therapist. Our free 30-minute in-person consultation is a great low-stakes first step.
-
Confidentiality is an important part of what makes therapy work for teenagers — they need to know they can be honest without everything getting back to their parents. We keep sessions confidential, with the exception of safety concerns. We'll always let you know if we're ever worried about your teen's wellbeing. Outside of that, we work with you to keep you informed and supported in a way that doesn't compromise your teen's trust.
-
We work collaboratively with parents throughout the process. While most sessions are one-on-one with your teen, we may occasionally invite parents in for check-ins or family sessions when it's clinically helpful. You won't be left in the dark — we want you to feel supported too.
-
Anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, self-esteem and identity struggles, school stress and academic pressure, social difficulties, family conflict, grief and loss, body image concerns, eating disorder concerns, sports anxiety, and more. If your teen is struggling with something not on this list, reach out anyway — we're happy to talk through whether we're the right fit.
-
It depends on what your teen is working through — there's no one-size-fits-all timeline. What we can tell you is that we encourage open communication with parents throughout the process. If you ever have questions, you're always welcome to ask. We honor your teen's confidentiality, and we also understand that you want to know what's going on with your child. If you ever feel like your teen has made enough progress and may no longer need therapy, bring it up with their therapist — that conversation is always welcome and we'll give you an honest answer.
-
Sessions with our associate therapists range from $175–$210. We don't accept insurance directly, but we partner with Mentaya to help families use their out-of-network benefits. Check your benefits here for free.

More than most people expect. Teens who engage in therapy often come out with a better understanding of themselves — why they react the way they do, what triggers their anxiety or anger, and how to actually handle hard emotions instead of avoiding them. They build real coping skills they can use outside the therapy room. They learn how to communicate better — with friends, with you, with themselves. And maybe most importantly, they experience what it feels like to be heard by someone who isn't going to judge them or try to fix them. That matters more than it sounds. For a lot of teens, therapy is the first place they've ever felt fully safe to be honest.
-
We serve clients in-person from San Clemente and surrounding South Orange County communities including Dana Point, San Juan Capistrano, Laguna Niguel, Ladera Ranch, Mission Viejo, Aliso Viejo, and beyond. Virtual therapy is available statewide.
-
The first step is a free 15–20 minute consultation call. From there we'll match your teen with the therapist who feels like the best fit for what they’re going through. You can book directly online or fill out our contact form and we'll guide you from there.
