FAQs
-
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
You don’t need to be in crisis to start therapy.
Many people come to therapy because they feel overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, stuck in patterns they can’t seem to change, emotionally exhausted, or simply not like themselves lately. Others are navigating relationship struggles, motherhood, identity shifts, trauma, ADHD, perfectionism, grief, or major life transitions.
Therapy can be a space to slow down, understand yourself more deeply, feel more supported, and learn healthier ways of coping and connecting.
If you’ve been wondering whether therapy could help, there’s a good chance it might.
-
What is your fee?
Initial 15 minute phone consultations are complimentary. Individual, couple and family sessions start at $175+. Each clinician has a unique fee based on their training, experience and specialities. Payment is due at the time of service. Cash, check, and credit card are accepted. Fees may be increased once a year reflecting inflation, increased overhead costs, and market rates.
We offer a select number of sliding scale spots based on income and availability, however these sessions are limited and considered on a case by case basis. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to use if you are looking for sliding scale.
If you’re unsure of where to begin contact us today and we can schedule a free 15 minute initial phone consultation to see how we can be help you.
-
Do you take insurance?
We are not in network with any insurance plans. Fortunately many of our clients are able to use their out of network (OON) benefits to help cover the cost of therapy. This means they pay for sessions up front and receive financial reimbursement directly from their insurance. If you have a PPO, then you have out of network (OON) coverage but the % of reimbursement for sessions depends on your specific plan.
We understand that navigating the insurance world can be quite confusing. You may be unsure about your OON benefits which makes estimating the cost of therapy difficult to predict when you are researching potential therapists. We want to make this process as easy as possible so read below to find out how we can help you verify your OON coverage and receive information about your potential reimbursement for your treatment.
-
I have a PPO. How do I use my out of network benefits to help cover the cost of therapy?
Using out of network benefits to help cover the cost of therapy can be complicated, frustrating and honestly quite discouraging. But- it doesn’t have to be. To make the process seamless, we use Mentaya, a platform that helps clients get money back on therapy—without the hassle of filing claims themselves.
How does it work?
1. We confirm your out of network benefits for you- just fill out this form.
2. Schedule your complimentary consultation with your preferred therapist and we will go over information regarding your reimbursement and an estimated cost of your reimbursement for our services during the consultation call.
Not sure who your preferred therapist is? No problem! Fill out the contact form here and let us know a little bit about you and what you are looking for. From there, we’ll guide you in finding the therapist who’s the best fit for your needs.
3. Then after each session,
✔ We submit claims for you—you don’t have to do a thing.
✔ Mentaya handles the reimbursement process with your insurance.
✔ If your insurance offers out-of-network benefits, you’ll receive reimbursement directly.(Note: Mentaya charges a small fee for claim processing, handling any paperwork required, dealing with denials, and calling insurance companies, but only if you receive reimbursement.) It's risk-free: They guarantee claims are successfully submitted, or a full refund of their fees.
Have any questions? Please let us know! We are more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
-
I'm not sure I can afford therapy. Do you offer any lower cost fee options?
We believe everyone deserves access to quality therapy. That’s why each of our clinicians offer a limited number of reduced-fee spots for clients who are eager to start therapy but are seeking a more flexible fee option.
If cost is a concern, please reach out—we’re happy to discuss options.
Don’t hesitate to schedule a consultation to discuss this further.
-
What happens after I reach out?
Reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable — especially if you’re overwhelmed, anxious, or not even totally sure what you need yet. We try to make the process feel as easy and supportive as possible.
Once you fill out our contact form, someone from our team will reach out to learn a little more about what’s bringing you in, answer any questions, and help guide you toward the therapist who feels like the best fit for what you’re looking for.
From there, you can schedule a complimentary consultation (if offered by that therapist) or move forward with your first session.
You do not have to have it all figured out before reaching out. We’ll help you take it one step at a time.
-
How do I schedule a consultation or appointment?
You can request an appointment or consultation with any of our therapists by booking online here. That way you can schedule quickly and at a time that works for you. Once you’ve submitted the request you will receive confirmation of your consultation or appointment via email. You can also fill out this form and we will get back to you. We can be reached via email at therapywithcelynna@gmail.com or via phone call or text at (424) 262-3650.
-
What happens during the consultation call?
The 15 minute consultation call is our opportunity to get a feel for whether or not we think we might be a good fit. Depending on your therapist, they may send you a brief questionnaire prior to your call to help them get a sense of what you’re hoping to get out of therapy. We will ask some follow up questions and encourage you to ask any questions you may have about how we work, our background/experience or any general therapy related questions. At the end of the call we may schedule our first appointment or we may provide you with referrals depending on your needs.
-
What is your cancellation policy?
Celynna upholds a 48 hour cancellation policy. If you must cancel or reschedule your session, we ask that you give her at least 48 hours notice otherwise you will be held responsible for the fee of your session. All sessions must be rescheduled or cancelled through your client portal. Phone calls, texts or emails are not an accepted form of cancellation. Please be aware that insurance does not cover late cancellations or missed sessions.
Associate clinician’s may uphold a different cancellation policy that they will go over with you during your first session.

-
How do I find the right therapist?
You don’t have to figure that out on your own.
We know choosing a therapist can feel overwhelming — especially when you’re already carrying a lot. Based on what you share in your contact form or consultation, we’ll help guide you toward someone who feels like a strong fit for your personality, goals, and what you’re currently navigating.
Whether you’re looking for support with anxiety, trauma, motherhood, relationships, teen concerns, ADHD, or feeling overwhelmed in general, we want therapy to feel supportive, comfortable, and aligned.
And if you start with one therapist and it doesn’t feel like the right fit? That’s okay too. We’ll help you find someone who feels better suited for you.

-
Will therapy feel awkward?
Maybe a little at first — and that’s completely normal.
Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you’re not used to talking about yourself or asking for support. The good news? You don’t need to know exactly what to say or have everything perfectly organized before you come in.
There’s no pressure to “do therapy right.”
We’ll meet you where you are and help guide the conversation. Most clients tell us they start feeling more comfortable much faster than they expected.
-
How long are sessions and how often do we meet?
Sessions are typically 50 minutes long on a weekly basis. There are times when we may meet more or less frequently depending on your needs.
-
How long does therapy usually take?
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer.
Some people come to therapy for short-term support around a specific challenge, while others stay longer for deeper healing, relationship work, trauma processing, or ongoing personal growth.
Our goal isn’t to keep you in therapy forever — it’s to help you feel more supported, more connected to yourself, and better equipped to navigate life in a way that feels meaningful to you.
Therapy moves at your pace.
-
What if I’ve tried therapy before and it didn’t help?
This is more common than you might think.
Sometimes it’s about timing. Sometimes it’s the type of therapy. And sometimes, honestly, it just wasn’t the right fit.
Therapy is a relationship, and feeling safe, understood, and genuinely connected to your therapist matters. We believe healing happens best when therapy feels collaborative, human, and tailored to what you actually need — not one-size-fits-all.
Whether you’re looking for deeper healing through EMDR, support with anxiety or trauma, help navigating motherhood, or practical tools for relationships and overwhelm, we want therapy to feel meaningful and actually helpful.
-
Do you work with teens?
Yes — we offer teen therapy in San Clemente and throughout Orange County for adolescents navigating anxiety, overwhelm, school stress, self-esteem, friendships, family conflict, perfectionism, identity exploration, ADHD, and emotional ups and downs.
The teen years can feel hard — for teens and parents. Sometimes teens are struggling but don’t quite have the words for what they’re feeling. Other times, parents notice changes and feel unsure how to help without pushing too hard.
Our therapists work to create a space where teens feel safe, understood, and genuinely comfortable being themselves. We focus on building trust first, because therapy tends to be most helpful when teens feel like they actually want to be there — not like they’re being forced into it.
Whether your teen is dealing with anxiety, emotional overwhelm, life transitions, or simply having a hard time coping, teen therapy at The Bloom Room in San Clemente can offer support, tools, and a place to feel understood.
We also offer virtual therapy for teens throughout California.
-
What is EMDR therapy and how do I know if it’s right for me?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a therapy approach designed to help the brain process and heal from experiences that may still feel emotionally “stuck.”
People often seek EMDR therapy for trauma, anxiety, childhood wounds, postpartum experiences, difficult relationships, grief, or patterns that feel hard to move through even when they logically understand them.
EMDR can be especially helpful if you find yourself thinking, “I know why I do this… but I still can’t seem to change it.”
We offer EMDR therapy in person at The Bloom Room in San Clemente and virtually throughout California. If you’re curious whether it might be a good fit, we’re happy to help you explore that.
-
Do you work with moms, postpartum, or overwhelmed women?
Absolutely.
Many of the women we work with are carrying a lot — motherhood, mental load, anxiety, relationship stress, identity shifts, people pleasing, perfectionism, burnout, or simply feeling like they’ve lost themselves somewhere along the way.
Whether you’re newly postpartum, navigating the invisible weight of motherhood, struggling with anxiety, balancing too much, or trying to reconnect with yourself again, therapy can offer a space that feels supportive, grounding, and truly yours.
You don’t have to keep doing it all alone. You can learn more about our work with moms and all things motherhood here → Orange County Therapy for Moms
-
Do you work with couples?
Absolutely. We offer couples therapy in San Clemente and Orange County for partners who feel stuck, disconnected, caught in the same arguments, or simply wanting to strengthen their relationship.
Relationships can feel hard sometimes — especially when communication breaks down, resentment builds, intimacy shifts, parenting stress takes over, or you feel more like roommates than partners.
In couples counseling, we help partners slow things down, understand the patterns that keep showing up, improve communication, and reconnect emotionally. Therapy is not about deciding who is right or wrong — it’s about helping both people feel heard, understood, and more connected.
We work with couples navigating:
Communication struggles
Recurring conflict
Parenting stress
Trust concerns
Emotional disconnection
Premarital concerns
Life transitions
Rebuilding closeness and intimacy
Whether you’re in crisis or simply want to feel closer again, relationship therapy in Orange County can provide a supportive space to reconnect and grow together. Learn more about our approach to couples counseling in Orange County here → Couples therapy in Orange County.
-
Do you offer premarital counseling?
Yes — we offer premarital counseling in San Clemente and Orange County for couples who want to build a strong foundation before marriage.
Premarital counseling is not only for couples who are struggling. In fact, many couples seek premarital therapy because things are going well and they want to be intentional and proactive about their future together.
In sessions, we explore topics such as:
Communication styles
Conflict resolution
Family dynamics and boundaries
Finances
Intimacy and emotional connection
Parenting expectations
Shared values and future goals
How to navigate stress as a team
Our goal is to help you deepen your understanding of one another, strengthen your connection, and feel more confident stepping into marriage together.
Think of it as investing in your relationship before bigger challenges arise.
We offer premarital counseling at The Bloom Room in San Clemente, as well as virtual sessions throughout California.
-
Can therapy help if I have ADHD or feel constantly overwhelmed?
Yes — absolutely.
Many of the adults we work with, especially women and moms, come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, overstimulated, emotionally exhausted, forgetful, scattered, burnt out, or constantly feeling like they are dropping the ball.
Sometimes that overwhelm is connected to ADHD in women or adults. Other times, it’s anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, the mental load of motherhood, or simply carrying too much for too long. Often, it’s a mix of several things.
At The Bloom Room, we provide ADHD therapy in San Clemente and Orange County for adults who want support understanding how their brain works, reducing shame, improving emotional regulation, strengthening executive functioning, and creating systems that actually work for their life.
Many adults with ADHD have spent years feeling like they’re “too much,” “not enough,” or wondering why things seem harder for them than everyone else. Therapy can help you better understand yourself, feel less stuck, and build more compassion for the way your brain works.
If you’re constantly thinking, “Why does everything feel harder for me?” — you’re not alone.
Learn more about our approach here → ADHD therapy for women and adults in Orange County.
-
Do you supervise associate clinicians?
Yes. The Bloom Room is also a training space for associate therapists, which allows us to offer lower-fee therapy options with compassionate, highly trained providers under supervision. If you are interested in learning more about all of the associates at the Bloom Room you can find out more here.

How To Find a Therapist in South OC
We offer in-person therapy at The Bloom Room in San Clemente, serving clients throughout South Orange County — including San Clemente, Dana Point, San Juan Capistrano, Laguna Niguel, Rancho Mission Viejo, Aliso Viejo, and Mission Viejo. We also offer virtual therapy for clients located anywhere in California.

A note from Celynna…
Hello and welcome!
Finding a therapist based on their online presence can be daunting.
It’s my goal to make that task feel just a little bit easier. Take a look around and get a feel for who we are.
Don’t hesitate to reach out if you’re unsure or if you have any questions at all!
Still on the fence about whether therapy is right for you?
“I like to remind clients that therapy is an investment in their overall health and happiness. Many times, we view our physical health as more important than our emotional health. When our physical health deteriorates we immediately see or feel the negative effects. When our emotional health deteriorates it is easier to ignore the symptoms because they are not as tangible to us. Sometimes, we may even feel guilty or weak for needing someone to help us with our emotional health.
However, as time progresses we will inevitably learn that this deterioration on our emotional well-being affects all aspects of life. This is usually when people begin to consider seeing a therapist.”
With love,
With love, Celynna Harnetiaux, LMFT Founder & Clinical Supervisor, The Bloom Room
