Therapy for Moms in Orange County

We provide in-person therapy in San Clemente and virtual therapy for moms across California. Our therapists are mom-informed, trauma-informed, and trained in evidence-based approaches including EMDR.

Motherhood is beautiful. It’s also exhausting, overwhelming, and sometimes heavier than we expected.

You love your kids deeply — and at the same time, you’re overwhelmed, touched out, anxious, emotionally exhausted, or wondering why everything feels so hard.

You’re carrying the mental load of everything, trying to keep up with schedules, meals, work, relationships, laundry, emotions (everyone else’s and your own), and somehow still feeling like you’re falling short.

A part of you may be wondering:

“Why does this feel so hard?”

Or maybe motherhood looks different than you expected.

Maybe you miss who you used to be. Maybe your relationship feels strained. Maybe anxiety feels louder than it ever used to. Maybe you feel guilty for struggling because everyone keeps telling you these are supposed to be “the best years.”

If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not alone.

At The Bloom Room, we offer therapy for moms in Orange County and San Clemente, supporting women through the emotional, mental, and relational challenges that can come with motherhood.

You spend so much time caring for everyone else. You deserve support too.

  • San Clemente Therapy

🌿 Pregnancy Loss, Birth Trauma & Complicated Pregnancies

Whether you experienced a traumatic delivery, a miscarriage, or a pregnancy that didn’t go as planned, those wounds deserve care. I offer a gentle, trauma-informed space to help you process and heal—using tools like EMDR when you're ready.

  • Therapy for New Moms

    🌿 Postpartum Anxiety & Depression

If you’re feeling anxious, down, irritable, or numb, please know this isn’t just “part of being a mom.” You don’t have to wait it out or pretend you're okay. These feelings are real, common—and treatable. Therapy can help you feel more like you again.

  • Postpartum Therapy Support

🌿 Burnout & the Invisible Mental Load

The endless to-do lists. The invisible work no one sees. The exhaustion that doesn’t go away with sleep. Therapy can help you set boundaries, prioritize your needs, and stop pouring from an empty cup.

  • 🌿 Mom Guilt, Shame & Perfectionism

If you feel like you’re never doing enough—even when you're doing everything—you're not alone. We’ll work on untangling those inner voices and making space for grace, not guilt.

  • 🌿 Rediscovering Yourself in Motherhood

You’re not the same person you were before becoming a mom—and that’s okay. Together, we can explore who you’re becoming, what you need, and how to reconnect with the parts of you that may have gotten lost along the way.

  • 🌿 Navigating Motherhood with ADHD

Motherhood is already a lot. Add ADHD into the mix, and it can feel overwhelming. I work with moms who feel scattered, overstimulated, or like they’re constantly falling behind—offering tools that support how your brain works, not how others think it should.

Therapy in San Clemente FAQ

  • Yes — maternal mental health is one of our core specialties. We work with moms navigating postpartum anxiety, postpartum depression, identity shifts, burnout, and the complicated emotions that come with every season of motherhood.

  • It's therapy that actually gets what motherhood is like. Instead of general talk therapy, it's specifically focused on the emotional and mental challenges that come with pregnancy, postpartum, and raising kids — things like postpartum anxiety and depression, birth trauma, pregnancy loss, identity shifts, and the kind of exhaustion that doesn't go away with sleep. It's a space where you don't have to explain why you're struggling. We already get it.

  • Both are real and both deserve support. Postpartum depression and anxiety can look different for every mom — sometimes it's persistent sadness, and sometimes it's irritability, numbness, intrusive thoughts, or feeling disconnected from your baby or yourself. If something feels off, trust that. You don't have to be in crisis to deserve help.

  • A lot of moms are surprised to learn that postpartum depression and anxiety can show up any time in the first year — not just right after birth. Some moms don't notice it until months in, when the newborn haze lifts and they realize they still don't feel like themselves. Whenever it shows up, it's worth talking to someone about.

  • Not at all. We work with moms at every stage — new moms, toddler moms, moms of teens, and everywhere in between. The challenges of motherhood don't stop after the newborn phase. Burnout, identity loss, mom guilt, and relationship strain can show up at any season of parenting. If you're a mom and you're struggling, this space is for you.

  • Therapy with us isn't one-size-fits-all — we tailor our approach to what you actually need. For moms carrying trauma, anxiety, or experiences that feel emotionally stuck, we often use EMDR, which can be incredibly effective. We also draw from IFS, CBT, mindfulness, and attachment-based approaches depending on what fits. Celynna is EMDR trained and Gottman Level 1 certified, which comes up a lot with moms whose relationships have taken a hit since having kids — which is more common than people talk about.

  • Yes. Anxiety, depression, and fear during pregnancy are way more common than most people realize — and way undertalked about. You don't have to wait until after the baby arrives to get support. In fact, starting therapy during pregnancy can make a real difference in how you feel going into birth and the postpartum period.

  • Sessions with Celynna start at $250 for individuals. Sessions with our associate therapists range from $150–$230. We don't accept insurance directly, but we partner with Mentaya to help you use your out-of-network benefits — a lot of our clients get meaningful reimbursement back. Check your benefits here for free — it takes about two minutes.

  • Yes — a lot of our mom clients prefer it. No commute, no childcare scramble, no getting out of the house during nap time. Virtual sessions are available for moms anywhere in California and can be just as effective as coming in person.

  • That's exactly what our free consultation is for. Several of our therapists offer a free 30-minute in-person consultation at our San Clemente office — no pressure, no commitment. Just a conversation to see if we're the right fit.

  • Yes. Miscarriage and pregnancy loss are experiences that often don't get the grief they deserve — the world moves on quickly, but you don't have to. Whether your loss was recent or happened years ago, therapy can be a place to finally grieve it fully, process any trauma around what your body went through, and stop carrying it alone. We hold space for this with a lot of care.

  • Yes. The grief, anxiety, and emotional exhaustion that comes with infertility is real — and it's one of those things people often suffer through quietly because it doesn't fit neatly into a category. The hope and disappointment of each cycle, the strain it puts on relationships, the identity questions that come up when your body isn't doing what you expected — all of it is worth talking about. You don't have to be pregnant or postpartum to deserve support on this journey.
